Junior Geysens holds a master's degree in law (KU Leuven, 2016, distinction), with an Erasmus exchange at the University of Helsinki in Finland and an LL.M. in Energy, Environmental and Climate Change Law (University of Malta and KU Leuven, 2017, major distinction).
Junior practises in the broad field of public law, with a predominant practice in constitutional law, administrative law and environmental law. Junior regularly acts in proceedings before the Council of State, the Constitutional Court and ordinary courts. He has also already acted before the Court of Justice of the EU.
Junior also has extensive experience in the field of betting, advising and defending operators.
Between 2018 and 2023, Junior was also a voluntary scientific assistant at the Institute for Environmental and Energy Law (IMER) of KU Leuven, within the Public Law research unit.
Junior is also a member of the Sports Committee of the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA).
Junior is the author of several scientific contributions in the fields of constitutional law and environmental law.
He joined Portico in November 2017. On the first of September 2023, Junior was given the title of Senior Attorney.
