Portico is pleased to announce the appointment of Sebastiaan De Meue as partner.
Sebastiaan has been a lawyer at Portico since 2014. He is active in the broad field of public law, with a predominant practice in environmental law, civil service law and public procurement law. He is the author of several contributions in legal books and journals, has spoken at several seminars, and was also a part-time assistant in Administrative Law at KU Leuven.
Partner Thomas Eyskens sees in Sebastiaan’s promotion the result of the firm’s policy of investing in associates: “Sebastiaan is the example of how a promising young lawyer has evolved into a highly qualified specialist with extensive experience in public law, with an eye for perfect case management and a good understanding what really matters to the client. Having been with the firm for almost a decade, he knows the firm and its clients inside out, which can only facilitate a smooth integration as a partner.”
Partners Nicolas Bonbled and AurĂ©lien Vandeburie also welcome this promotion, which “confirms Sebastiaan’s talent, expertise and constant rigour in his work“, as well as “his involvement in the cases handled by the firm, both in Dutch and French”.
The appointment will take effect from 1 January 2023.
